Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres

Sharing a quiet moment and a hug
Ingres, Jean-Auguste-Dominique b. 1780 d. 1867
Major French Neoclassicist painter of the 19th century. He was a hero of Degas'. He was a consummate draughtsman who worked most of his career in Rome. He was a master (and I mean master!) of the female nude and portraiture. Check out his "Odalisque with slave" and "harem", the man liked naked woman.
