About MeI was born among the prickly pears of Las Cruces, New Mexico but was raised in the hot sticky gumbo of bayous in Louisiana. It was there that I developed my love and respect for the power of mother nature, in both her beauty and anger. After half-heartedly pursuing degrees in Engineering, Painting, Graphic Design, and Computer Science, I abandoned academia and embarked on a qwest for pure knowledge. Having had enough of the hurricanes, mosquitos, and humidity, my wife and I followed the westernly winds and moved back to the state where I began my journey of life. The land and its peoples have been both an influence and inspiration for my life and my art. I feel the pull of its vast expanses and untamed wildness, constantly striving to translate these emotions into works of function and beauty. Besides Silversmithing and Fine Woodworking, I enjoy a host of other pursuits and adventures. When I do find some free time (as limited as it is) I can be found oil painting, turquoise mining, fixing computers, designing websites, cooking, inventing, modifying anything electricial or mechanical, or scavenging junk yards for my next DIY project. |
